Memoriae festi plagae

The cities of Toronto, Canada and Palermo, Sicily hold many important memories for me. During this time of plague affecting both cities I am uniting them with common ritual, public expressions of ceremony and showing masked people in their everyday lives on the TTC transit and my local businesses. The Santa Rosalia festival, July 14, commemorates the passing of the plague in 1678 and the images are from 2019.
